Occupational health and safety are matters we do not compromise in terms of our "people first" principle. All kinds of measures are taken for all of our employees to work in a safer environment. Because of these principles, potential accidents can be prevented and our applications never fall below under a certain quality standard. Our priority is the protection of human life, and for this purpose vocational training is given to all employees under the terms of Heavy and Dangerous Works Regulations. Safety equipment and professional qualification certificates are also mandatory for our staff and additional studies for raising these standards are made on a constant basis.

GlassTech Refractory is not satisfied just with the Labor Law and the relevant regulations stipulated in accordance with occupational health and safety practices. Going beyond the legislation, we make sure that our employees work in an ergonomic, comfortable and healthy environment to raise the quality of work. Occupational health and safety do not mean just physical health - providing a safer environment for employees in every sense, is in between the requirements of our corporate culture. In this respect, every member of the staff gets a special training about our corporate philosophy, or they are not allowed to work.

GlassTech Refractory takes all necessary measures not to disrupt the delicate ecological balance of nature during production and in order to leave a livable environment for future generations. Imprudent and unconscious work in industrial production may affect the future of all of us and damage the balance negatively. GlassTech Refractory has an integral policy for the protection of nature and environmental awareness, as required by its corporate culture and "People First" principle. In this respect, focusing on the environment and human life during production is one of our main principles.

Our quality and environmental policy are not only based on the legislature. GlassTech Refractory  uses more than the standard measures to protect nature and leaving an intact ecosystem to our children. Refractory materials recycling is a process carried out meticulously our company. All non-hazardous waste materials are delivered to recycling companies licensed by the Ministry of Environment. Hazardous waste (flue duct, chimney slag, insulation materials, etc.) are packaged appropriately and taken out of the factory. In this respect, we are working only with partners who have received the appropriate license from the Ministry of Environment.
